November 7 2010 He has an odd way of words and secretive like the one he so reminds me of. Dreams are fragile. Hearts are fragile. Cryptic words that have emotion hidden behind them. It sounds such a simple statement, but once held out, so full of concern for what could be. What is hoped and dreamed. What value there is in the unexpected. The boy keeps to himself, but shares small sparks. He will be a scientist yet. Like him, like them. And perhaps, one day he too will be a storyteller. A leader, and a special individual.
Someone has to stick around and keep that flicker alive... and I will do it yet. If it is the answer to our dreams and hopes and the healing of the worlds, I will do whatever I can to make him grow into whatever he dreams.
After all, the Island quartet cannot do this alone. Nor can the dream children of Rainbow's End. They are not the only answer of this I am sure, or the story would have ended by now. But it never ends. And I know merely making this boy a hero is going to do nothing more than give him a story. Like ours. A path to whatever he could wish. And well, if that is where the story goes, I will let it. Everyone deserves a story.
